Jacob Graff: Music
A Place
(Jacob Graff)
August 16, 2008
I know a place by a stream
Endless procession of seabound lazy dreams
We thought it never would end
Now in my spirit I feel that place again
La-la-la-la la-la-la-la la-la-la-la-la-la la-la
She went away every year
Snow on the orchard blanketed her fear
Buses can take you away
Only in your heart can you choose to stay
Christmas was never the same
Grandmothers’ cottage burnin’ in the rain
Woodknots and stains make designs
Now gone forever except in my mind
Cube of devine origin
Veil torn asunder and the hearts of men
A sojourners path you can trace
But in the spirit of the righteous ones is that Holy Place
